Alexandra (Allie) Minieri, Ph.D. Dr. Alexandra (Allie) Minieri is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is the Associate Director, Training Services at George Mason University Counseling and Psychological Services. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky and completed her doctoral internship at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Counseling Center. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in college student mental health at The Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Service. Her clinical interests include identity development, including gender identity, racial identity, and sexual identity; working with symptoms of anxiety; and group therapy. Professionally, she is interested in supervision and training as well as social justice advocacy work on college campuses. In addition to serving as Section Chair, Dr. Minieri is also Past-Chair of the Division 17 ECP Committee.
James Donaldson, Ph.D. Dr. James Donaldson is currently serving as Treasurer of the SCP Section on Professional Practice. He is an ECP Counseling Psychologist and licensed psychologist in Iowa. He is currently a psychologist at Ames Counseling and Psychological Services, a group private practice in Ames, Iowa, where he provides a variety of services including individual and couples psychotherapy and psychological assessment. His research and practice interests include spiritual/religious issues, multiculturalism, and the intersection of multicultural and spiritual/religious identities. Dr. Donaldson graduated from Texas Tech University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in August, 2017.
Valene A. Whittaker, Ph.D. Valene A. Whittaker is a Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is a psychologist in the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and the Military Sexual Trauma Services Coordinator at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Medical Center in Bedford, MA. Dr. Whittaker completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and a Graduate Minor in African American Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, her predoctoral internship at the University of California Berkeley CAPS, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the ENRM VAMC. Her clinical and research interests include the psychological well-being of people of color, and particularly women of color; racial identity and race-related stress and trauma; multiculturally responsive training and supervision; and trauma recovery and resilience within Veteran, Active Duty, and Military communities. In addition to serving as Section Past-Chair, Dr. Whittaker’s professional service and leadership roles include Chair-Elect and Practice Representative to the APA Membership Board; Early Career Psychologist Mentor for the 2018 SCP Leadership Collaborative (formerly the Leadership Academy); Boston Metro Region Representative to the Massachusetts Psychological Association (MPA) Board of Directors; and co-chair for the MPA Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs (CEMA).
Mary O’ Leary Wiley, Ph.D. Mary O’Leary Wiley, PhD, ABPP is a Board Certified Counseling Psychologist and Past President of the American Board of Counseling Psychology, in addition to serving as Past Chair of the SCP Section on Professional Practice. She initiated and leads the Emerging Leaders Program for the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. She has been in independent practice for over 20 years, having previously worked in college and university counseling centers. Dr. Wiley received her PhD from the University of Maryland in 1982, where she did her doctoral internship. Her research has primarily been in the area of adoption, though her clinical specialties include work with trauma survivors, wellness, and eating disorders. Dr. Wiley was awarded the APA Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions to Independent Practice. She is a Fellow of APA Divisions 17 and 42.
Christopher Barrett Stults, Ph.D. Christopher Stults, PhD, LMHC is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Baruch College, City University of New York, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in independent practice in New York City. The mission of his research and clinical work is to improve the lives of sexual and gender minority people. Specifically, his program of research is focused on the mental and physical health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people. In his clinical practice, Dr. Stults specializes in treating LGBTQ individuals and couples with a wide range of presenting concerns.

Marcy Rowland, Ph.D. Marcy Rowland, PhD is a licensed psychologist in independent practice, having graduated in counseling psychology at Indiana University-Bloomington in 2007. She is now in practice in central Pennsylvania, where she serves adolescents and families. She has had a variety of roles within SCP and currently serves as the Co-Director of APA and External Interface Board. Lisa Ferdinand, Ph.D. Dr. Lisa Ferdinand is a licensed psychologist, who has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida and an MA in Education from Boston University. Dr. Ferdinand also has a certificate in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the Center for Integrated Primary Care in Massachusetts. Dr. Ferdinand’s clinical interests include multiculturalism and social justice, supervision and training, primary care behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and crisis management and intervention. Dr. Ferdinand has conducted research, published peer-reviewed articles, and presented nationally on reducing health disparities among low-income and culturally diverse populations, fostering leadership potential among international students and professionals, and improving access to mental health services for traditionally underserved students on university campuses. She is currently employed as the Assistant Director for Clinical Services at the University of South Florida Counseling Center. Dr. Ferdinand also serves as the VP for Professional Practice for the Society of Counseling Psychology (SCP, APA Division 17) and is Chair-Elect for SCP’s Section for Training and Supervision.
