Update from Division’s 2018 APA Convention Program CommitteeUpdate from Division’s 2018 APA Convention Program Committee The Program Committee is busily planning for and organizing the program for the Division 17 APA convention in San Francisco, CA. The convention will take place August 9-12, Thursday through Sunday. President Arpana Inman’s program theme for this year is Leadership through Advocacy: Influencing and Advancing Change. We have just wrapped up our proposal submissions for this year, with the Division totaling over 400 poster and symposium submissions! We have also just been informed that 21 collaborative programming proposals which list Division 17 have been accepted by APA for the convention. So, our division will be well-represented by the work of its amazing members. The Program Committee will be working this month, (our busiest month!) to review proposals and notify presenters, as well as create the schedule for the convention. So stay tuned…we expect a great lineup for this year’s convention program. Meanwhile, we are always open to any questions, comments or feedback, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
