Dr. Heidi A. Zetzer (she/her/hers) is a Teaching Professor and the Director of the Carol Ackerman Positive Psychology Clinic in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, & School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Dr. Zetzer teaches Positive Psychology Across the Lifespan, Basic Practicum, Theories of Supervision & Consultation, and Supervision Practicum.  She also directs the department’s counseling and clinical externships. Dr. Zetzer is the Secretary for the Society for Counseling Psychology (SCP; Division 17) of the American Psychological Association and a member of the Editorial Board for division’s flagship journal, The Counseling Psychologist, 2021-2023. Dr. Zetzer is a former chair of the SCP Supervision & Training Section. Dr. Zetzer is the Past President of the Association of Psychology Training Clinics (APTC) and is the Co-Editor of the APTC Bulletin: Practicum Education & Training (PET). Dr. Zetzer is a licensed psychologist and former president of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association. Dr. Zetzer’s areas of scholarship include multicultural clinical supervision, parallel process in supervision, white privilege, and positive psychology including hope, forgiveness, gratitude, and meaning in life.
