Student Affiliates of Seventeen (SAS) Co-Chair BioMelinda Troyka
Melinda (she/her/hers) is a 2nd-year doctoral student at the University of Missouri – Columbia. She is originally from the Chicago area, but received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, where she also minored in dance and women’s & gender studies. Currently, Melinda works as a Positive Psychology teaching assistant and a practicum trainee at Mizzou’s Career Center. Her research interests include identity development, academic self-concept, and their convergence with forms of oppression from an intersectional lens. Outside of psychology, Melinda loves dogs, Grey’s Anatomy, and baking chocolate chip cookies. |
